Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Kevin, are you using the latest svn? If so, see here.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
When I was having problems with the table I switched the mlp plug ins off for a while. I created some articles when the plug in was off and now those articles are not showing under the mlp>>articles tab. So i can’t clone them. Is there anyway I can force the mlp to get the articles that were created when it was shut off to show up now?

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
As far as I know you can safely run the Cleanup wizard (just don’t check the checkboxes!), and then the Setup wizard again. That should add all existing articles to the l10n_articles table.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
also my second post is not important, I can just recreated all the articles that i created while the mlp pack plug ins were turned off. but still maybe if someone had created loads of articles in that situation maybe it would be helpful to know how to get mlp to check that it has all the articles under the mlp>>articles tab.
thanks kevin.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
For those wanting to upgrade their Txp install to 4.3.0 (rc): so far found two three issues, #32, #33 and #36. If you find anything else, please post it either here or there.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Hi all,
This is a really nice work. Many thanks to all contributors. I’ve just installed txp-4.2 and mlp-0.9.13-gp for a test ride on a winxp machine.
Here is below the list of issues I had and still having so far. Any comments?
1- Add the `txp_lang.l10n_owner` field : Failed. => Looks like this is because MySQL server (5.0.88) does not like setting a DEFAULT value to a TINYTEXT field.
2- Add the per-language article table. Add the English (GB) [l10n_txp_en_gb] table : Failed. => Looks like MySQL server wants explicit table type setting in the table create statement.
3- MLP plugin is not working on messy links.
4- In zem_contact_lang-mlp.php the version information “4.0.3.6-MLP” seems to be causing problems when installing the plugin=> Looks like “-MLP” suffix needs to be removed.
5- zem_contact_lang-mlp.php plugin somehow is not highlighted (maybe not recognized?) as a PHP code on the browser just before installation.
Thanks
Cem

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
There’s an issue I’ve been having since installation of 4.2 and 9.1.13
When I upload an image, alt and caption fields are only available in the main language. I have to save the info, and then click ‘Edit’ to fill in the image info in other language(s). If I want to replace the picture later, for example I cropped it a wrong way, and want to replace the image keeping al the relevant info, I can’t do it. All the image info in languages except the default language is lost every time I press ‘replace’ button.
It’s not that critical but annoying.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
I knew about this:
When I upload an image, alt and caption fields are only available in the main language. I have to save the info, and then click ‘Edit’ to fill in the image info in other language(s).
But not about this:
If I want to replace the picture later, for example I cropped it a wrong way, and want to replace the image keeping al the relevant info, I can’t do it. All the image info in languages except the default language is lost every time I press ‘replace’ button.
You are right, and the same happens when you replace or recreate the thumbnail. Quite annoying indeed. Thanks for pointing it out, I will file a bug report here.
