I’ve been running Textpattern since 4.0.3, at the time the default pages, forms and style looked a certain way. For 4.0.4, a lot changed, I had to manually add those changes in, since I run the default look on many of my sites.

Could you clarify when a change to the templates gets added to an already running install, cause I’ve yet to see this happen, even on a site where I run the latest SVN.

We were talking about tag output, such as the supplied example of comments_invite, not default templates. Several tags have default classes. We can’t just change those (in 4.0.x).
