Re: trouble with yahoo small business?

Dreamhost has been disappointing lately.

I use txd, so that was just an example to go on. I have set up people there before though, because it’s cheap (initially, to get you in which means I can eat the 20-30 dollars to get them going) and txp just works without a bunch of heartache. Also the cpanel is somewhat dumbed down, which makes it easy for a client type person to add email accounts/ftp accounts without calling me :)

So if they have been disappointing I don’t know wo to tell you, but there must be some other place out there that “gives” you the first year free and has modern software/db support. I like to see the option to at least run php5 as a cgi.

Re: trouble with yahoo small business?

did you ever get txp running on yahoo?

I’m trying to install and can’t get past the first step of contacting to the database.

Something about .htaccess not allowed as a filename on the server.

Re: trouble with yahoo small business?

textpat I would find a better alternative, it’s not worth the trouble, Yahoo is not an ideal environment for txp.

Re: trouble with yahoo small business?

I don’t want to make it harder than it needs to be.

I have another host siteflip.com less button-down than Yahoo…. can try it there. Search didn’t pull up anything in this forum… sounds like most hosters work except yahoo?
