Perhaps you’re right that the coincidence happened when removing the said plugin.
I reloaded the plugin and the problem doesn’t appear. Trying to replicate the problem.
What I mean is the plugin was inactive on plugins-tabs section of admin.

One of the authors in my weblog is getting the same error, but I could not reproduce the error.
But then we stumbled on one thing: she is in the article form and writing an article, then she clicks on preview and goes back with the browser back, and not by clicking on the text tab.

I have been experiencing the same problem – although it is intermittent and not every time a user presses the publish button on a new article.

Yep – that seems to be it! repeated use of the back button while previewing/editing an article can leave things in a real mess! One of my ‘users’ managed to get multiple articles too!
Either I need Txp to be a little more robust about things – or I need better user education! ;-)

I have this problem as well.
I’ve traced down the problem to when I use Preview while writing a new article, then hit backspace instead of using the Text button.
