Re: Help.Textpattern 4.0-20060824.zip, backwards- and plugin-compatibility

Whoooops!… serendipity!

As I changed “lastmod” preference to “no” (previous message), the month’s names come out in italian! (see above for the problem).

If I change lastmod preference to “yes” the month name come out in english again (even if language is italian)!!!

I have no idea for the reason, but I guess this could be useful to the devs… bye!

Actually there was a bug in locale handling. It should be fixed in r1669.

bq. Are you returning php-code in any of your plugins?

No, I think I’m not. I checked the code and could find anything like that.
I’m not using the plugin myself at the moment and had no time yet to test it but the problem was reported by Jon Hicks.

Just to clear this one up, it wasn’t to do with the comment preview plugin. I hadn’t noticed that I was still using a < ? php tag to output the ‘name’ value. My apologies!

Some prinicipal info about lastmod: …

Thanks Sencer. I think when all the widgets in the admin panels have their help popups filled, it will irradicate a lot of the base questions like mine. ;)

I’ll be spending the next weeks working on the admin panel docs in TextBook, defining each widget in necessary detail. With any luck, maybe what gets added there and what eventually gets added in the widget help popups will sing together. ;)

Cheers on the admin area. Looks great. Love the new looking input fields.

Although, one problem:
tag_error <txp:comments_form isize=“58” msgcols=“55” /> -> Textpattern Notice: Unknown tag attribute: isize on line 571

It’s doing the right thing. It’s telling you that you are using an attribute which it does not know about. There is no “isize” for comments_form.

I wish I could participate in this :( I’m in London at the moment with spotty web connection. Thanks for all the hard work folks. I’m getting giddy about this next release.

There is, actually. It’s in commentsForm, which gets the value from comments_form (we should fix this in crockery, too confusing). That can soon be fixed. :)

upm_image does not work for me. Does anyone else have this problem?

I think you mean upm_img_popper. Don’t worry ‘bout it, I already know. All my plugins will be updated for 4.0.4.

Re: Help.Textpattern 4.0-20060824.zip, backwards- and plugin-compatibility

I’m getting the following error when I try to access the RSS feed for comments with the ajw_comments_feed plugin:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: rss_safe_hed() in /home/.dean/davej/davejeffery.com/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(501) : eval()’d code on line 107

Jon: I also noticed that you’re having the same problem with the RSS feed for your comments, although you may not have noticed.
