xjosie, for my own reference, do you have any table prefixes beyond the normal “txp_”?
thanks!

What do you mean by table prefixes beyond the normal “txp_”? I have installed two blogs in one database, and one has the prefix ld_ and the other has the prefix self_. I do not have anything with the prefix txp_.

Re: [archived] mtp_subsections

xjosie and jonhicks, I just uploaded a new version of the plugin that should work for you. Check above for the updated plugin…

In this case, I would uninstall the tables (under the subsections tab) as well as uninstall the plugin in the normal way.

Then you can reinstall as you would from scratch.

thanks!
Matt

Hi Matt, Its quite surprising. But I’m still not able to download the file. Can you e-mail the file to me? (I’ve sent you an e-mail)

To help prevent problems like this, I’ve added this plugin to the archives. I realize it’s still a young plugin with a lot of potential, so I would ask that people help keep the archives up to date by uploading a new version of this file as they come out. Thanks.

Re: [archived] mtp_subsections

Hi
So I’m new to textpattern and after about 2 weeks of searching, browsing and reading, I feel its time to start working with textpattern. I love the way textpattern is working, it took me a while to wrap my head around it and there are still alot of things to learn but I think I get the idea.

For the current project that I’m working on I need subsections but after I installed and activate the plugin I get the same error as jerry

<code>Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /usr/local/www/textpattern/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(459) : eval()’d code on line 392
The above errors were caused by the plugin:mtp_subsection</code>

I have a prefix in my database so as far as I understand that is what causes this error. I’m not good with php but I’ll help where I can. I like my html and css abit more and with a product like textpattern it makes life just abit easier.

Is there a quick fix so that I can get this plugin working?

Cheers
hamba

Re: [archived] mtp_subsections

plummerm,
Great plugin. Very useful.
I wonder, would it be possible to add an exclude=”“ parameter to the <txp:mtp_section_tree /> tag?
Sometimes I have extra “un-announced” sections, like “test” for playing around with, that might be nice to hide from the main tree?

What do you think about that?

:)

Re: [archived] mtp_subsections

I’m not exactly sure how to use this plugin. Can someone help me? The help section is a little confusing to me.

Re: [archived] mtp_subsections

go to the extensions < subsections tab, install the tables
go to the content < subsections tab, and make some of your sections into subsections, and give them an order to appear in.

:)

edit didn’t like my less than’s

Okay, thanks.

For some reason this plugin does not work for me. The page is still blank.

Re: [archived] mtp_subsections

I installed the table from the subsections tab under extentions, and then I went to the one under presentations tab. I don’t see one under the contents tab.

Re: [archived] mtp_subsections

sorry, I meant presentations, or at least I do now :)
hmm, don’t know whats up, have you debugged by turning off other plugins?
What version txp are you running?
have you looked through your sql tables via phpmyadmin?

???

Re: [archived] mtp_subsections

I’ve tried disabling all other plugins and it’s still a blank page.
I’m using version 4.0.3.
I looked through the tables, but they do not make much sense to me.

Re: [archived] mtp_subsections

xjosie,
do you have a second install you could try the plugin with?
Sometimes that helps solve problems?
