Re: where are the non-blog themes or templates?
Sencer, I think non-blog starter templates would help bring more people into Textpattern.
linguo, I should have at least one design converted this month and then the others should be easier to do after that.

If I ever figure this out, I’ll be happy to write an even simpler guide for beginners.
If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard somebody say that. I’d be…well, I’d probaby have about 56 bucks.
But still, not once has anyone ever backed up their words. That’s no attack on you, linguo, it’s just a fact.
When you’re ready for the wiki, start with a new account, and that login problem you’re having will magically disappear.

Destry,
That’s funny. I think I even thought that once, although I’m glad I didn’t say it out loud :)
Good discussion here.
I know one of the things that helped me most was when folks shared their code. Once I started learning things, the examples forum opened up. Good timing!#$!%
Anyhow, I’ve found that many folks come to TXP with the hopes that its blogger on ice (not a drink, more like the disney show). Then when they find out its a whole other beast, with a whole new set of logic, then the curve is unveiled.
I agree though. Its all worth it. My wife calls you all my Textpattern buddies. Its pretty funny.
