Oui, je comprends bien. However, for the benefit of the rest of the forum, I’m going to respond in English, if you don’t mind.

First off, my apologies for my previous post. The problem is, I’ve been at this a long time, and sometimes I lose sight of what it was like to be new to Textpattern. To me, dumping a database to a file is second nature—but I know it isn’t that way for everyone. Perhaps then I’m not the best person to be giving advice on the forum, but it seems to have worked well so far. I know TXP is not particularly friendly to new users; it’s not the most well-documented app, and it can get complicated. Of course, I’m sure it doesn’t help to have people on the forum being less-than-helpful to new users. Once again, my sincerest apologies.

Kurt, that is awfully nice of you to apologize. I tend to shy away from support forums unless I am in dire need as I seem to be at the moment. I shy away due to rude posts from old hands, who forget that not everyone is as savvy or talented as they are.
