Re: My First Site (and first TXP site)

Maarten,
Thanks alot for your great suggestions. They fit in line with all of the other suggestions I have received here…i.e. they are great and very helpful. And I was really, really happy with the color scheme I came up with. I have received lots of compliments on it. NC State’s colors are red, red and red. I think I was able to stick with the general “red” scheme of NC State while still managing to look nice as an art museum well should. The strange thing is that I am generally just horrible with colors. Of course, I am not good a good designer (web or print) and this is the first website I have done of any type. All things considered, I am really happy and proud of this. I look forward to working on more stuff with Txp. I am doing my own personal site right now and will post when I am done. And then I have a few (at least two) more sites lined up. I look forward to getting better and better at this. It is fun and important. There is no excuse for bad web design… I am a real conoisseur of “good design” and that is why I have stayed at my job as long as I have…I get to work with “objects” everyday. I am not an artist…in the visual sense, but rather an ex-“professional” musician. I’‘ll quit rambling and thank you again. Cheers…

Anton,
Please do stop by sometime and come up to the third floor. Look for some Herman Miller Resolve pods and I’ll be there. My name is John. We have some great stuff to see and it would be cool to meet another txp person around here. I used to more or less live over in the Hill back in my musical playing/drunk heyday. Cheers to you too..
