Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn
On pondering that, I guess it’s not really an issue.
I was thinking that it was a ‘good thing’ to keep the site owners’ address anonynous at all times, but I guess it doesn’t matter if a genuine contact has it after all…
Anyhow, all up a great addition to this increasingly comprehensive plugin!
Thanks again Stu.
Cheers

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn
NO no Neil. No half-measures here. Does Bcc not appear then? Don’t answer that. I shall just go and try it.
Sorted. Give me 20 minutes to sort the download out. Blimey! Double figures already. ;)
I see your point about genuine contacts but you don’t know that until you’ve read what they’ve posted, by which time they already have your email. This way, if they are genuine, you will probably get in touch via a normal email.

Yep. That’s right Stu, BCC is Blind carbon copy, and any addresses in that feild are invisible to the recipient. ;-)

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn
Just downloaded version .10 for testing and I see a couple of errors (Sorry Stuart!):
-zemRequired does not get added to Select Drop-Down lists, but it does get added to text fields
-the form now “remembers” any values correctly in drop down selects, if the form was submitted without all field filled in as required. However, it still chokes on foreign characters.
I have one drop down with this as the label:

Førstevalg – (Velg linje)

If the form is submitted (without all fields completed) the above drop down select does not “remember” what was entered. I see this in the page source:

label for=“frstevalgvelglinje” class=“frstevalgvelglinje”>Førstevalg – (Velg linje) label
select name=“frstevalgvelglinje”

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn
Finding errors/bugs is your job. Well it’s my job first, then yours to find anything I’ve missed. So no apologies. Just annotate them here so we can sort them out. This is currently a “Community” plug-in so the community needs to do it’s bit. :)
I’ll check out the “zem_required” for the drop-down list.
I believe Tranquillo is looking into the foreign characters problem. That’s beyond my abilities at the moment.

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn
My interest lapses for a day or so, and two pages of discussion and a new feature appear.
Thanks NeilA and sirBombSite. I’m now BCCing my head off.

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn
How can I give a form an id?
This dont work
<txp:zem_contact mailto=“info@mydomain.be” id=“form”>

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn
The form already has an id=“zemContactForm”.

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn
@Jonathan – I’ve been having another look at the drop-down list with regard to adding the extra “required=yes” class but I’m afraid that a drop-down is totally different in coding to a normal input and I can’t see a way of doing it. Of course there is the probability that it is simply beyond my knowledge at this point.
