Ah! When I was originally investigating, Zem’s site was down for a couple of days. But oops – i was using article_custom (i remember trying it at first with article and thinking that was the wrong way). Then I plugged in your plugin and it works like a charm.
Since my site tends to involve short articles mixed with long ones, and titles that are sometimes non-descriptive, the archive solutions that involve a list of article titles never appealed to me.
Now the only thing that could make me happier is a parentheseesed number next to the month to indicate the # of articles (“2005 October (45)”) ala rss_suparchive_menu.
Yes, I have tried turning it off and on.
