Re: So where are you running 4.0?

No problems with http://www.jatol.com so far, though their SuExec settings have in the past played rough with other CMS, especially those having to have 777-chmodded folders.

No probs with Provider-One.net which I’m using for a number of clients.

Re: So where are you running 4.0?

Dreamhost works file with WorkingIdea, and Textdrive is working fine with another project.

Re: So where are you running 4.0?

Running on HostSun
traditional local low-cost linux solution,
PHP version: 4.3.11
MySQL: 4.0.25-standard
Allso tested for multi language support.
Seems to work with no further problems found with a default htaccess file that just needs one more line to turn register globals off.

Note: Host Sun has merged with Forthnet two years ago and I don’t know yet what specs their other servers have.

Txp 4.0.3 without problems at <a href=“http://www.netmind.ch/”>netmind.ch</a> (php 4 and mysql 4; Note: You have to explicitly ask for use of own .htaccess file) and at <a href=“http://www.domainname.at/”>domainname.at</a> (php 4 and mysql 3.23).

Re: So where are you running 4.0?

I did have some trouble moving the stuff I had locally set up in my xampp environment to my German Alturo Webmaster shared hosting package. After 1 hour everything seems to be working fine (I found all info in the Textbook – but there was one tweak necessary in htaccess to get mod_rewrite working:

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteBase /kunden/homepages/xx/xxxxxxxxx/htdocs/
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^(.+) – [PT,L]

RewriteRule ^(.*) /index.php

(replace the xxxxxx with your id, of course)

All I needed to change was the RewriteBase statement and important to put the slash in front of index.php, otherwise it won’t work.

Seems like this is special for my provider I didn’t see anyone having the same trouble with .htaccess.
