Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn

Well my thinking was that there could be a single plug-in, like zem_contact_lang, which could contain all text outputs from all plug-ins. As it is a public-side plug-in anything can link to it with the correct call. You could then take it one step further and have translations maintained by interested individuals. The only problem I foresee is that it would change quite regularly with so many plug-ins being dependant on it plus new plug-ins being added all the time. And there would need to be some kind of common protocol which may be problematic for existing plug-ins.

As I say, it was just a passing thought and I’ve let it pass me by for now. ;)

So are you going to supply the Dutch version then, and a French one from Jeremie, a German one from Alexandra, a Finnish one from p and the list goes ever onwards? ;)

Yes, P makes finnish translation!

I´ve been testing the plugin again now, trying to reproduce all possible errors etc.

Might be again that I am just messing up but is translation option for “Name” missing?
Then, what is the difference between and occasions used with <code>‘message’</code> and <code>‘text’</code>? I am only able to produce errors that pull out the translation of <code>‘message’</code>.

edit: ok, found the contex for <code>‘text’</code>. I guess it is for additional fields, for example if there is field called “Your company” but no label definied it outputs translation for text.

It looks like it’s missing, had not noticed that before… But for ‘name’, ‘email’ and ‘message’ you can also use the label attribute in your tags.

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn

It’s not missing, because the error messages related to a text input field (as is the input field for the name) are using the label of the field: $zem_contact_error[] = zem_contact_gTxt(‘field_missing’, $label);

The translations are only used for the error messages or as default values (which can be specified differently in the tags) for the input fields. So by defining the label, you can define the translation.

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn

Along with the redesign of TXP Magazine i will install and test the latest reborn version. I can deliver a german translation and host it on the german TXP Blog if you want me to. Just let me know.

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn

I will get my new “work site” out this week. So if it is better that translations are hosted on their authors sites, that is ok for me too!

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn

All fine by me. When people have these translations done, if you tell me where they are, I will point to them in the top post.

And I haven’t added the plug-in to the TXP Resource site. I suppose I ought to really hadn’t I?

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn

Version .15 released. Now removing tags from the article when using the “Send to a Friend” function. We are still looking at quotes and apostrophes which remain coded as HTML. May have something to do with “pretty quotes”, but I’ve released this “as is” because the articles definitely look a lot neater now.

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn

<code>Fatal error: Call to undefined function zem_contact_gTxt()</code>

I get this error with the latest version, anyone else?

Edit: God I’m dumb sometimes. rtf instructions. Not sure I like having to have a seperate plugin though. That means 2xEverysite.

Re: Plug-in: zem_contact_reborn

Ha ha. Yes but you speak English and it’s not like it’s going to change that often. More or less “install it and forget it”. :)
