Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

@jameslomax: Yes, for me it works with rc3. I tested it local and I run it online on a site I develope right now.

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

Hmmm dont understand.
If its relatively easy to hack into shape for rc3 why hasn’t Greenrift done this?
Is there anything else I need to consider?

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

I think it’s a good choice to get everything working before releasing this time. It’s not very usefull to install something and then directly go through 20 bugfixes here in the forum everytime. Good documentation and stable versions do the trick, and that takes time…

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

I’m not dead. May look that way, but I was just thinking really hard or something. As nice as working the daily grind for the first time can be, I sit in front of a computer all day so I’m not terribly inclined to do so at night.

But that’s not why I’m posting. I’m posting because I’m running the latest revision of Textpattern on my server here at home, and also the latest version of Albumpattern. But more than that, it’s the latest pristine version. I haven’t touched the source at all, and all of the Albumpattern stuff I’ve tested thus far is working.

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

Greendrift. I followed the links on the first page and they go to a black page on your website. Unable to download this to try it out. Also, in your example gallery, when clicking on the pictures or titles they don’t go anywhere.

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

I’ve removed albumpattern from my site now in anticipation of the latest pristine version. I’ve put my code back to the maintained version and will try to keep it that way!

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

this is just a beta of 0.5. If people can get back to me quickly about any show stoppers (which i’m expecting none), I’ll release the final on labor day (so this next monday). Hopefully the admin side plugin part is working, if it isn’t then my plugin builder isn’t working properly, but you could alter the “type” column of the albumpattern row in txp_plugin to be “1” instead of “0” (or just wait for me to update the plugin).

FYI: my photos section is running on a completely stock version of TXP 4.0. No hacks or anything. The problem with my section menu is unrelated to albumpattern (I think, but will be fixed soon). Comments, URL’s work. Things may be a little weird if you’re using a 3rd party URL handler, but they might work just fine.

Again, email me with problems and as much information as you can provide.

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

Wow this is exciting! The moment I’ve been waiting for.

I’ve installed it on my blog with no problems (not publicly yet), but am having trouble installing it on a client site, which I’ve just upgraded from 1.0rc1 to 4.0.

Here’s the error I get:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘$’, expecting T_VARIABLE in /home/csiaonta/public_html/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(429) : eval()’d code on line 1924
The above errors were caused by the plugin:Albumpattern

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

Nice to see that a new albumpattern is out. Can albumpattern handle batch uploads yet (like maybe uploading a zip and unpacking it)?
