Automatic Acronyms

Seeing as I can’t search the forum just now for some strange reason I’ll throw a curveball out there anyway.

Is there currently, or plans, for an Acronym plugin for TXP? One that automagically makes acronyms out of common (user inputed) acronyms?

I know off Greenrifts classTextile.php hack, but that’s what it is, a hack. And I’m looking for a plugin, only because I keep updating txp, and re-hacking all my old hacks is a pain in the arse.

I agree it could be nice to have this kind of plugin, I use one on a DotClear install and it’s pretty useful :)

Something broader might be needed… something that would parse the articles/excerpts, and search&replace specific strings.

With that, you could do it for acronyms, for typographics things, for wikiword and url, and so on.

It should be more difficult than doing it just for the acronyms.
