Upgrading and .htaccess

When upgrading from 4.62 to 7.1, is it necessary to upload the .htaccess file in the package, since it hasn’t changed and I have some small modifications in the existing one? Not a big deal, just wondering.

Re: Upgrading and .htaccess

No, you should be fine. The only thing that has changed is that the commented out line with #php_value register_globals 0 has been removed altogether.

BTW: If you want to see for yourself, you can find the .htaccess for 4.7.1 here
and the .htaccess for 4.6.2 here or you can look at the log of changes to the file.

Thanks, I did manage to find the latest files. I use them to update old sites, so I’m looking at them constantly!
