No preferences available
Did a clean install of 4.6.2 yesterday. On accessing the preferences, I get the following:
Alert: User_Error “Table field ‘sort_value’ in order clause”.
Alert: Warning “mysqli_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given”.
..and a nice info message ‘No preferences available.’

Re: No preferences available
I don’t have any helpful information.I would delete everything and start again. Empty you mysql db.
Ensure that the .htaccess file is present on your server …

Re: No preferences available
…so I did, same result. Going to have a look at the remote preferences table vs. my local installation.
edit: same on 4.6.1 :(

Re: No preferences available
MySQL 4.1.22 is more than 10 years old, not sure txp runs on it. Can you upgrade to MySQL 5 and test?

Re: No preferences available
Yes, I will schedule an upgrade to MySQL 5.
Gonna try some other versions of Textpattern, since I’ve run it on this server before without any issues…weird.
