Reserved Terms
Is there a comprehensive list of reserved terms in Textpattern. I had a section and a page named “media” which suddenly quit working. I guessed the problem. I changed the names of the page and section and everything worked again. So I’ve been looking in the tag reference and docs, but I cannot find a comprehensive list of reserved terms. I found “Avoid using” lists for sections, but the term “media” was not included. Maybe an update of the documentation is needed? Thanks, tja

Re: Reserved Terms
Media should not, as far as I know, be a reserved word for custom fields, sections or page templates. There may have been a gremlin in your system..

Re: Reserved Terms
Do you also have an actual directory named ‘media’?

Re: Reserved Terms
Els, Thank-you. That was the answer. Textpattern URLs will link to a named directory rather than a section of the same name. I had a directory named “media” and a section named “media”. The url led to the directory rather than the section.

Re: Reserved Terms
Just added that to the docs. Native English speakers are invited to improve on my mumbling:
Section names already assigned to directories (and of course vice versa) will not work either.
