Re: glz_custom_fields

hi

another problem.
i do have some custom fields installed, a normal text field, a radio button.. if i implement a checkbox and i use it, i get following alert window:
Internal Error: "'Array' is not a string".

not really sure whats happening here. maybe it has to do with the problem i posted recently, because the custom field, that makes the problems is also a checkbox. ill try that out very soon.

Edit:

True. The checkbox doesnt seem to work properly. my other problem is solved, and in this case i dont really need a checkbox eather.

Re: glz_custom_fields

Jens, did you make sure you’re working with the latest version available? I remember reports of checkboxes not working properly with earlier versions. AFAICT the beta1 from 2012-10-24 is the working one. I’ve just put a link to this version into the first post.

@everyone: Should you know of a later/better version than the one I linked to: please yell.

I was afraid the situation had been like that. Glad I’ve picked the right one.

Re: glz_custom_fields

I’m encountering a problem after install. This is probably not an issue with the plugin directly, but rather something on my end.

When on the options page for the plugin under the Date and Time picker plugin URL fields there’s an error messaging stating ‘Folder does not exist, please create it.’ Well the folder most definitely exists. Any ideas?

This is on a fresh Textpattern 4.5.4 install with glz_custom_fields 1.4.0

edit// I should also add that the pickers do indeed appear to work, but the error message has me concerned…

I got the same error message on some previous TXP / glz_custom_fields versions installations but as you note, everything works as it should. I have not been able to determine why this should happen on some installations and not others but have got used to ignoring it as it doesn’t seem to affect anything else.

Re: glz_custom_fields

Everyone, I haven’t checked any TXP e-mails since my last post in this thread, briefly catching up with everyone:

1. I would like to contribute with what’s required to wrap up v1.4.0, this means making sure that the plugin works correctly. No new features (sorry), only bug fixes. I’ve started this pull request 10 months ago , would be nice to finally merge and release a stable, fully working version.

2. Everyone that has donated since I’ve fully open sourced the plugin has been refunded. Please don’t make any other donations, all work is now public. All the time that I will spend with the plugin will be given away happily for free.

3. I’m looking to officially hand over the plugin to someone else, please come forward!

Thank you all!

Re: glz_custom_fields

Do I have a wrong memory or is it really true that unlimited custom fields will be part of Textpattern 4.6?

+ Radio, Select, Multi-Select, Checkbox, Textarea?

That would be perfect…

Re: glz_custom_fields

I installed glz_custom_fields-1.4.0-beta1 on Txp 4.5.4. They seemed to work but I couldn’t remove custom fields I had created. That’s how it looks (you can also see that field numbers are sometimes doubled): www.dropbox.com/s/epdor86g52c5y4e/glz1.png
I removed the plugin but additional custom fields remained in the Admin tab: www.dropbox.com/s/qgk07e2b48961fl/glz-removed.png

Has anyone any ideas what to do about it? Now I only want to get rid of them.

Re: glz_custom_fields

Yes, as far as I know Robert will implement it part of core as of 4.6. I don’t know anything about the actual implementation, there must be a post somewhere on this forum about it, surely.

Barbara, I will look into it

Tye, thank you ; )
