where can I find the lines to edit? I’ve looked in styles and forms.
It might be in the Presentation->Pages template corresponding to the section in which the warning occurs.
At the risk of pushing my own plugin, you could try installing smd_where_used which pops up under the Extensions tab and allows you to search for references to things in your site. You could then search for
article_custom and it’ll show you in which Page/Form those tags are used. Click the items in the resulting list to edit them.

If it’s any consolation, you are not the only one encountering these problems. This thread I’m linking to does not offer a solution, but at least you’ll know that people have been giving this some thought ;)
