Thanks, Julián – you’re the best. That totally worked. Much appreciated!

Re: smd_gallery: super-flexible gallery generator

Stef, did you happen to read This Site’s Domain is Now Safe by Chris Coyier lately?
Hope it’s not that kind of occurrence and everything will be resolved easily.

Joserinu, I’ve uploaded both for you: gallery 0.61 lib 0.36 . Just can’t tell whether I’ve the most recent versions.

Edit: Removed files again, please use stefdawson.com/sw/plugins

Ack, thank you Uli for stepping in while my site drifted away for a bit. ‘Twas a small administrative error thanks to the vagaries of the global banking cartel who seek to enslave us all with debt. I probably pissed them off and that’s how they pay me back.

Cool, glad that it was past that fast. Soh Tanaka is still waiting for his domain, almost 6 weeks now.

Crikey.

I caught mine just in time, got hold of the support team and they set me up a new agreement on the spot. All sorted within about 8 minutes. I love my hoster’s customer service: they even help me out when it’s my fault!

Re: smd_gallery: super-flexible gallery generator

Hi,

I’m trying to use smd_slimbox to display a lightbox of an image related to an article, but that then allows you to scroll to see other images related to it. I’ve tried various ways with that plugin and failed(it shows images not linked to the article as well, or shows all the images, and I only want one displayed until you click on it and show the lightbox). I wonder if it’s better to try with this plugin, and if so how you would suggest I do it?

I’m also trying to find a way to show a “featured” article which may be from one of 2 different categories – do you know if there is a way to do an “if”?

Thanks very much!

Ale

It’s definitely possible with this plugin. It has a feature thumblimit which will show you, say, one clickable thumb and then it’ll allow you to lightbox your way through the other “hidden” images on the page. Those images are selected by using the id, category, or author attributes.

Yes you can. If the core tags can’t do what you want, there’s smd_if. Although if you’re doing featured articles, you might like to check out smd_featured instead.

Re: smd_gallery: super-flexible gallery generator

could you write an example tag with thumblimit ?

I can’t seem to find it at your pages but it sounds like what I need.

<txp:smd_slimbox thumblimit="1" />

is what I would do, but that doesn’t work.

Look at example 2 in the help. Though it uses a form, you could use smd_gallery as a container instead. The key to making thumblimit work is the {object} replacement tag (the output of which you can customise with objectform if you don’t like the default).
