Re: Help! likely .htaccess problem, articles can't save

No change. I’ve tried pasting the raw img src tag into the article with tiny_mce disabled, same results.

Thanks, but adding this to the .htaccess file:

<IfModule mod_security.c> SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>

Didn’t appear to change anything.

It’s supposed to go in an .htaccess file in the /textpattern/ directory.

I hope this helps with diagnosis.

I would recommend contacting your service provider’s support. Unfortunately there seems to be some sort of security filtering going on that is blocking your requests. And if you have no access to turn those filter off, or loosening the rules, then we can’t really provide any help than suggesting to contact the party that has needed permissions to perform needed tasks.

I would ask if they have have security filters installed and asking whether it is possible that the security filters (like Apache’s ModSecurity) are blocking your legit actions. And then asking if they could turn off or change the filtering rules for you so that you can do your work.

While it could be unwanted to turn security filters off globally, .htaccess files override configuration for sub-directories too. Placing the rules to /textpattern/ directory shouldn’t change the fact that it appeared to do nothing.
