Re: jnm_audio

first let me join the chorus of thanks for an excellent plugin!

now, it seems that no matter what value i assign to rightbgcolor or rightbghovercolor, the right side is always black, and so is the hover.

if i do not specify the variables, the default grey/lighter-grey-hover functions perfectly.

for example, this should make the right side of the player a deep red:

rightbgcolor=0×c5341c rightbghovercolor=0×c5341c

but alas, it is all black (at least in FF3 Mac, Safari 3 Mac, FF2 Win and IE7 Win — does it work in any browser?)

any help or guidance anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated!

Re: jnm_audio

hey there,

i’ve successfully used jnm_audio on previous sites so I’m not exactly sure why it isn’t working for me, although this is the first time I’ve deployed it on txp 4.0.7

For some reason the audio isn’t loading, although it seems the Flash is. It looks like it just isn’t loading the file. I’ve tried specifying the file in all the different ways and no luck with any of them.

I’ve used this code: <txp:jnm_audio fileid="3" />

And in the source of this page I’m seeing:

<script language=“JavaScript” type=“text/javascript” src=“http://www.transparentblog.com/plugins/audio-player.js”></script>
<object type=“application/x-shockwave-flash” data=“http://www.transparentblog.com/plugins/player.swf” id=“audioplayer1” height=“24” width=“290”>
<param name=“movie” value=“http://www.transparentblog.com/plugins/player.swf”/>
<param name=“FlashVars” value=“playerID=1&amp;bg=0xf8f8f8&amp;leftbg=0xeeeeee&amp;lefticon=0×666666&amp;rightbg=0xcccccc&amp;rightbghover=0×999999&amp;righticon=0×666666&amp;righticonhover=0xffffff&amp;text=0×666666&amp;slider=0×666666&amp;track=0xFFFFFF&amp;border=0×666666&amp;loader=0×9FFFB8&amp;loop=no&amp;autostart=no&amp;soundFile=http://www.transparentblog.com/file_download/3”/>
<param name=“quality” value=“high”/>
<param name=“menu” value=“false”/>
<param name=“wmode” value=“transparent”/></object>

Now http://www.transparentblog.com/file_download/3 does seem to be the download link to the file, but it just isn’t loading into the flash player.

Any ideas?

Re: jnm_audio

Yeah thanks – weirdly my Safari refuses to display the player. Works in every other browser I have, including other WebKit ones.

Of course I should have thought to check cross-browser earlier on instead of wasting everyone’s time! D’oh.

Re: jnm_audio

It would be really nice if the plug-in was updated to the new version of the player … it has some cool features now! Anyhow … thanks for this great plug-in!

The plugin seems to work in all browsers except IE7. Can anybody help?

Re: jnm_audio

Recently user naoj77 found a way to combine the SimplePie PHP RSS feed library with the jnm_audio player.
Thread item with SimplePie and TXP code: aks_rss : RSS parser and aggregator. Go back about ten articles to see the start.

Maybe this should be added as a TXP forum ‘How to do’ item or a textbook documentation.

Re: jnm_audio

Hi,

I recently downloaded and installed textpattern. So far I’ve come across two audio plugins, one of which is this one, the other uses the JW player. That one looks pretty bad, and I can’t change the skin, so I chose this one.

This player’s time bar does not move as the song plays. Is there any way that we can get someone to update it to the new player or figure out why it doesn’t work properly anymore?

Re: jnm_audio

Hello Hudsong,

I found that the non movement of the time bar was a browser related thing, it work as intended in some but not others. I don’t recall the detail because it was some time ago. At the time I was OK with that shortcomings because the plug in made it so easy to include a podcast (remember them?) in a posting. So I remain indebted to @juanjonavarro for the plug-in.

Re: jnm_audio

Thanks for the quick response Joe,

I flipped back over to the JW based plugin and did some hex color customization to it, so the issue for me is resolved :)
