Re: glz_custom_fields

Hi Gerhard! Your new version sounds great!!!
You actually made all our requests a reality! :)

I will have to wait until sed_section_fields is compatible or integrated to use it and see if all the plugins I use work in 4.2, but when that happends I will defenetly upgrade, too many good things to take advantage of in this plugin.

Thanks!

Re: glz_custom_fields

Just installed. It’s awesome!!!!!

Thanks for all your hard work Gerhard. It feels so good not to have to patch TXP to install it.

Bug report: One small bug report it that if you delete one of the 10 core custom fields you get a error message in the side bar. The only way to make it go is to remake a custom field in that position.
Feature request: Allow all custom fields to be moved from the side tray to the main body.

Thanks again. This is awesome.

Re: glz_custom_fields

Thank you Gerhard, I’m trying it and looks great!!
I’m experiencing a problem though which probably it’s caused by me overloocking something: all other plugins using jquery stop working when glz_custom_field is enabled. Could someone confirm this is not the case?
Thank you

edit: if I disable glz_custom_fields all works ok of course
edit 2: maybe it’s because I installed it on a existing non-vanilla txp install? I’ll try later if this is causing this problem
edit 3: Don’t know how… but now it works!!

Yes, I am aware of this, in talks with Robert to fix this. It’s a limitation of how custom fields are read from $GLOBALS[‘prefs’]. Thanks for the report!

Allow all custom fields to be moved from the side tray to the main body.

Scheduled for v1.2.3

Any error messages from the Javascript console? There has been a report about the datePicker plugin messing about with JS, this only happens when the datePicker is not set up properly.

It works now!!!
I don’t know what I did, the script folder was in place, must have been a silly thing.
The important thing is now the plugin works and – I must repeat – it is really awesome! Thank you again!

Hi Gerhard,
I donated this morning, any chance you can send me the link to download?
Thanks,

Re: glz_custom_fields

Excellent! It must have been a caching thing or something.

I’m so glad you’re finding the updated plugin so useful, the response I got so far was simply fenomenal. All this buzz makes me want to start work on the new version now :). I can’t even imagine how much better this plugin will be with sed_section_fields integrated into it.

Re: glz_custom_fields

Gerhard,

superb work, new features, compatibility with 4.2.0 etc. !

Two small issues I ran into playing with it:

  • Multi-Select only shows the first two options in the Write tab.
  • Changing a standard field from text input to e.g. radio or select requires you to save before allowing you to input options in the value field. Perhaps it’s meant to work like that, but I wanted to mention it just in case.

This is on a clean install of 4.2.0.

On a sidenote I was reminded of what always irritated me about glz_custom_fileds: the yellow-background focus styles. I don’t mind having them in the glz interface, but not in the entire admin. In the write tab they’re a bit annoying. So the first thing I do is to remove that rule from the plugin.
