Many of my must-installs have already been mentioned, so these are probably the #10-20.
In bad weather I never leave home without wet_plugout, smd_where_used and adi_form_links

Useful lists. Most of the plugins on my essential list have been mentioned. I want to add cnk_versioning, which has become a major boon to my development workflow. Slightly different than hcg_templates, cnk_versioning automatically imports changes made to template files with every page refresh when the production status is Testing or Debugging.

Great thread. Some of these things probably could’ve been achieved with a little of my own php, and some others might even be available somewhere in Textpattern’s functionality, but they’ve all been decidedly helpful to this lazy web master. My list goes to 11:
cab_social – social bookmarking
rah_metas – meta tag management
rss_auto_excerpt – detailed excerpting of articles
rss_suparchive – assists in creating article listings
rss_unlimited_categories – expands Textpattern’s categories
rvm_css – cache’s css files for faster load time
smd_random_banner – helpful rotating banner plugin
upm_datetime – txp-based date and time display
upm_img_popper – convenient image placement tool
wyn_recent_comments – a helpful ‘recent comments’ list generator
zem_event – I use version 0.3.5 of this plugin for calendar listings

These make into almost all of my txp installs:

All my frequently used plug-ins have already been mentioned except for:
tjh_listfilter – persistent filter on ‘Content/Articles’ page that filters article list by Section, Category, author and Status. Invaluable timesaver.

Indispensable especially for larger sites: lam_browse_by

In my vast output of, er, three live TXP-based client sites I’ve used:
I have to declare an interest in the last four – but, after all, I did write them for a reason ….!
