Code 2 Content Ratio
Created this little tool for testing purpose … then expanded test other websites … this is truly sad to see that as society that we are really bad at coding?

Fun ratio!
But I don’t know if I share your conclusion that society is bad at coding. Aren’t you forgetting some other variables?

Re: Code 2 Content Ratio
OK maybe bad is an over statement … but I found it very alarming that even i had much more code than content. And I did not even factor in the CSS + JavaScript files which will make it look even worse …
Arguable images are content … and there size is not taken into consideration.

Re: Code 2 Content Ratio
@intresting experiment. How comes thow, that an article permlink page at alist.apart gets a superb ratio and on the frontpage a much lower one.
The markup isn’t any much different in both cases.

Should have thought about it. However this is an excellent Idea and a neat implementation.

Fun tool:)
I’m too scared to test a particular site of mine just in case it falls in the ‘worst’ category:)
