This plugin will ping your favorite pinging service, you could easily add as many sites as you want.

How to install this plugin

Install the plugin as usual, then click the edit link on the plugin page. Look for the line below in the code. Just delete the example links and add your own, dont forget to separate them with a comma.

How do I use this or do I just install the plugin and add my sites to ping. I am unsure if I need to include it in a page or if I need to do anything else to make sure it pings the sites

You just have to edit the line i refer to above to include all your sites you want to ping.

Does this plugin need to be updated, or is there an alternative? I have the latest version of Textpattern (4.0.3) and I added the to the list including Technorati. But when articles are posted and I check Technorati (after giving a little time) nothing has happened. Could I be doing something wrong or is this just an outdated plugin? Thanks!

Hi, iam running this plugin on my site and it works with the sites i am pinging, (not technorati).

Iam very sorry to say that i do not have the time to maintain this plugin for now, but if you find any problem with it iam happy to patch the plugin with any updates that is sent to me, or if you would like to maintain it yourself, or maybe someone else then feel free to do that. But please tell me so i can forward any request to the new maintainer.

Hi Johan

I’m running the jmc_events plugin, which adds a new tab in the admin interface through which you add content. Do you know – does your plugin respond to content added via the jmc_events tab, or just updates in the default Txp article/write tab?

I have now idea, i dont really remember how the callback function worked, but i guess it only listing on events sent to the article action, maybe it is working if jmc_events manipulates the requset string so it looks like a article post?
