Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_admin_quikpik

marz – I just updated to the latest rev (260) and the plugin still works fine for me.

Judging from the other thread you just posted about an error on the site admin page, it seems there’s some kind of general problem with your setup aside from the plugin.

Have you tried pulling from SVN and setting up a fresh install? Are you using any other plugins?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_admin_quikpik

I pulled a new version, updated and now the plugin’s working :D but I’ve still got that foreach() error, and looks like other people have it as well. But I’m going off topic, great plugin wilshire!

it’s now working correctly in Safari 1.3 after upgrading to 10.3.9.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_admin_quikpik

Quick side note while I’m eating dinner and working on my plugins instead of studying for tests next week: Admin-side plugins are awesome.

No more hacking around the code just too add a tab, lots of possibilities. Sure there are limitations, but its alot better now than before. About the only feature I want (that doesn’t seem to be hard to add) will be per-section URL schemes.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_admin_quikpik

What should I do with the three stylesheets (quikpik-quiktuitous, quikpik-wilshireone and quikpik) from the previous install of the QuikPik hack? Can I delete them?

You can delete those out of your styles now. You could “peel” some of the style off of them to re-use, but the admin version will pull up a new tab to place your css in, under the admin heading. :D

Yes, those old stylesheets can be removed. But as Jamie said, if you want to use any of the css from one of those styles, just copy it into the style textarea on the admin -> quikpik prefs tab.

I just downloaded and installed the goods, and my admin now looks a lot different than usual, but I cannot see that special “quikpik prefs tab” ???

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_admin_quikpik

Are you sure you installed the rss_admin_quikpik plugin and not one of the older hacks?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_admin_quikpik

Hmm, now I tried downloading again, and I got another file. Earlier today the link gave me the “version 3” (the earlier hack I realise) … Hmm, weird, but the new download (0.2.1) works as intended;-)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_admin_quikpik

Any plans on adding the “extensions” tab into the menu Rob? I installed glx_admin_db_tables and it does not show up unless I disable qp and then re-initiate it after done. Not a biggie, but thought I would ask anyway. ;)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_admin_quikpik

Okay, I just installed 0.2.1 and this is what I get when I go to the prefs page (or any page for that matter):

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare piker() (previously declared in /home/brewerde/public_html/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(351) : eval()’d code:348) in /home/brewerde/public_html/textpattern/lib/txplib_head.php on line 223

Wilshire, do you know what is going on here? Anyone?

To even the least of these…
