Links within articles
Links within articles seem to work without issue. i.e. <txp:link id=“1”/>
Links description does not. i.e. <txp:link_description />
Throws error : Textpattern Notice: Link tags cannot be used outside a link context. while parsing form default on page default.
I assume Links added to the content > links portion can be spit out within article without manually typing out or adding in a links list.
Brain not working today. Clearly missing something obvious.
gah.

Re: Links within articles
The description alone has no idea from which link/ID to get the information from. You can help it with a combination of linklist
, which takes the ID, and link_description
.
<txp:linklist id="1"><txp:link_description /></txp:linklist>
In bad weather I never leave home without wet_plugout, smd_where_used and adi_form_links

Re: Links within articles
Thanks for that quick response. It is appreciated. Works as stated.
My confusion comes in with the example used on the link page.
Is this correct or does it only apply to forms & pages rather than articles.
Does this page on the site need updating?
https://docs.textpattern.com/tags/link
Example:
<p>
<txp:link />:
<txp:link_description />
</p>
