[SOLVED] Empty diagnostics panel

I’m running the current 4.7.0-dev on a live server, which resolves an issue that a previous 4.7.0-dev had, which in turn resolved an issue with 4.6.2…not ideal, but needs must.

Two snags with this that I would love to hear any advice on, if you are able to help:

  • The Diagnostics panel is blank.
  • Alerts that something [good|bad|indifferent] has happened (article posted, updated, etc) are missing.

Diagnostics
The preflight check shows correctly:

The following PHP functions (which may be necessary to run Textpattern) are disabled on your server: system_exec, symlink, shell, ini_alter, show_source, highlight_file, define_syslog_variables, posix_uname, posix_getpwuid, apache_child_terminate, posix_kill, posix_mkfifo, posix_setpgid, posix_setsid, posix_setuid, ini_restore, inject_code, syslog, openlog, define_syslog_variables, apache_setenv, eval, phpAds_XmlRpc, phpAds_remoteInfo, phpAds_xmlrpcEncode, phpAds_xmlrpcDecode, xmlrpc_entity_decode

…but the Diagnostic Info shows an empty box.

Alerts
Actions still complete as expected, but there’s no visual indication that stuff has happened.

I can provide a tag trace, screenshots and/or video to explain this further. Any advice is very warmly received. Thank you.

PS: a brand new 4.7.0-dev works A-OK, this is a legacy site that’s been running Textpattern since 4.0.3 or thereabouts.

Re: [SOLVED] Empty diagnostics panel

Are there any obvious differences between your problem site and the clean site in the prefs or languages tables, or the config file, that might offer a clue?

Re: [SOLVED] Empty diagnostics panel

Hey jakob – thanks for your reply. I’m diff’ing at the moment and there’s nothing I can find that’s providig any clues. I’m in the process of re-uploading the dev files as there’s another snag I’ve found: inline help isn’t working, so something’s caught up behind the scenes.

To be continued.

Could it be old cached textpattern.js?

Re: [SOLVED] Empty diagnostics panel

Solved – clearing all browser cache fixed it, must’ve been a cached file(s) problem. Thanks, etc!
