limit category 2 on admin pages ?
On my drive-in movie theater site as i add more and more towns and cities, the category 1 and category 2 lists get longer and longer. There were 3000 to 5000 drive-in movie theaters in the United States at one time.
So if I am going to not get tired out adding info in for just one of, after i get all of them listed, here is what I would like to be able to do.
Write Article page, right side.
Sort and Display
Category 1 list has only the parent categories like the state names, general, and uncategorized, etc.
Category 2 list has only the child category list for the parent I have selected.
Basically, when I select Texas in Category 1 on that page, the list in Category 2 are the towns and cities I have setup as child categories for Texas. Shouldn’t be too bad… Texas had the most drive-ins at about 500. Most of the rest had less than 100 drive-ins.
Is there a way to do this ? Hmm… Probably have to alter textpattern admin section ?
I don’t see a need to alter the Categories page.
