Installation issue...

I have managed to install everything fine, install the config file as shown but i get this error…

Warning: Unknown column ‘load_order’ in ‘order clause’ select name, code, version from txp_plugin where status = 1 AND type IN (0,1) order by load_order in /home/adam/public_html/textpattern/lib/txplib_db.php on line 82

My Reseller says i should just reinstall textpattern but I have tried 3 times always with the same result. Any clues as to how i can solve it?

Thanku!

Re: Installation issue...

In the txp_prefs table, there’s a row containing the TXP version. Try setting that to 4.0.6 and then log in on TXP again (admin side). If that doesn’t help, ask your reseller if you have ALTER permission on your database.

Re: Installation issue...

I encountered the same thing attempting to upgrade a site from 4.0.6 to 4.0.7. In my case the problem was that I had inadvertently failed to FTP over the update script due to some filters I had put in place (to not copy files beginning with _) … Duh … hence the load_order column was not created, among other problems.

Code is topiary

I have the same problem with a fresh install of 4.0.8 on localhosts (Win platform WAMP server: Apache, MySql, PHP), so I

BTW, I couldn’t help but assume from your name that you are Dutch, yes? I’ve been on several business trips to Holland; Leiden, specifically. WONDERFUL country! Loved it and I look forward to going again (when the weather is warmer, lol).

Thanks!

Re: Installation issue...

I am having the exact same problem as jserrat after installing 4.0.8.

Warning: Unknown column ‘load_order’ in ‘order clause’ select name, code, version from txp_plugin where status = 1 AND type IN (1,3) order by load_order in {PATH}/textpattern/lib/txplib_db.php on line 82

I too changed the version number to 4.0.8 in txp_prefs but no change.

Strangely, I encountered this same error (displayed at the top of my site’s page) when installing 4.0.7 from scratch using an Install Script from Joyent.

However, the error went away after I logged into the my /textpattern/ set-up for the first time. But I’m not sure why…

Update scripts are run upon the first login. C.f. README.txt:

  • When you login to the admin-side, the relevant upgrade script is run automatically. Please take a look into diagnostics to find out whether there are any errors and whether the correct version number is displayed.

Re: Installation issue...

Hello! I have the exact same issue… using the last version 420. Is there any permanent/official fix for this issue? I loved textpattern but it’s been a couple of years that I haven’t used it: is this project slowly fading?

Re: Installation issue...

Did you try to log out and in again? Did you try the other solutions given in this thread?

it’s been a couple of years that I haven’t used it:

Then you’ve missed a lot :) I suggest that you have a look around (the forum, Textbook, your Txp install) before you ask questions like

is this project slowly fading?

;)

Re: Installation issue...

Could ‘special’ characters in passwords cause this problem? I have removed them in my MySQL and login password and the error went away after reinstall. Can anyone else confirm this?

Re: Installation issue...

Dear astonadam, did you resolve this problem?

I download the 4.3.0 and install it successfully. But when I open the home page first time, get the same error as you saw.

Warning: Unknown column ‘load_order’ in ‘order clause’ select name, code, version from tp2_txp_plugin as txp_plugin where status = 1 AND type IN (0,1) order by load_order in F:\Program Files\EasyPHP-5.3.2i\www\textpattern-4.3.0\textpattern\lib\txplib_db.php on line 89

Then I check the table tp2_txp_plugin in database, no column named “load_order”. :(
