A tiny Textpattern plugin to manually reset and change passwords for you and for your mates from a backend panel. The difference to TXP’s inbuild feature is that you, or your co-workers, do not need to receive an email. Instead, you can change anybody’s password to anything.

Wow. I always complained about the difficulty of managing passwords in a more efficient way.
The update made me discover the plugin, thanks.
Personally I would prefer to find the panel in the Administration/Authors section rather than in the Exensions/Change Passwords one, under the drop down menu where you can change the privileges. Just a note.

Heh, thank you, Alessandro. Pleased to help by coincidence ;-)

Ops I made a change before you read: it is more complicated/deprecated or unconvenient to modify the Administration panels adding some features? I tell you so because after installing the plugin I’ve searched for it there rather than in the Extension panel: I think that’s an improvement of a built in feature rather than a new one.

It is what it is, and because of the apparent security issues it causes, only Publishers will see the panel anyway. To me the most convenient place is the Extensions segment, which is ment for extensions. And On the “Admin” panel it would just add yet another form, 4th actually.
