Login Problem "Invalid Cookie"
I just upgraded to 4.0.6 and now I can’t log in to the admin interface.
Previously I had set TP to remember me on my personal computer. After upgrading
trying to get to the admin interface results in this in IE, I was able to log in fine with
FireFox:
Invalid cookie. Please enter login details.
please don’t answer “then use FireFox”

Then use Safari or Opera ;)
Or delete all cookies related to Textpattern in your browser and try logging in again.

Re: Login Problem "Invalid Cookie"
Dear doctor,
I have exactly the same problem here and I just don’t get the point why this happens in 4.0.6 whereas in 4.0.5 this would never happen…
I keep login, then use txp normally and after some clics I’m logged out…
Is that a conflict with previous stored cookies from earlier Txp versions…
What do this or that browser have to do with this fact…
What’s the cure ?

Re: Login Problem "Invalid Cookie"
hablablow, only one browser client can be logged with one username at the time. Are you sure that your not logged in with some other browser, or someone else is accessing the backend with your username? If your are, then it will automatically throw you or him out. Reason: security.
Other way, is to create unique user for every machine, phone, pc and browser.

Re: Login Problem "Invalid Cookie"
Alright Gocom you are simply clear and solved my issue, multiple logged browsers with same user…
Thought it was a bug since I never saw that in previous versions.
Thanks !!

Re: Login Problem "Invalid Cookie"
Security was tightened in 4.0.6 and this is a side-effect of that.

I think I’m not the last who will ask this… Why not add a note in the Textpattern FAQ.
Might have been said before but it never hurts:
Thank you for all the hard work Ruud & Co and for not neglecting security.
