Re: rah_metas // plugin for automatic metainformation

Hello Jukka,

I am using tru_tags on my Photoblog, can I use these to add to the list of keywords I made with rah_metas for each separate page?
( keywords=“life, Doe, cat, dog + tru_tags ” )

If so can you explain how please?

edit: stupid typo in name

Re: rah_metas // plugin for automatic metainformation

Do you mean in every page or just in the single article? If you mean in single article it’s allready done, because both of these plugins, tru_tags and rah_metas use textpattern in build feature, <txp:keywords /> to show them. So, keywords of tru_tags, and keywords of rah_metas are just same.

You can add keywords to articles in txp-admin’s write tab’s by keywords-input.

If I missunderstood you, correct me with little more info.

PS. Little typo in my name, it’s Jukka not Juka (I’m not Japanese) ;-)

Re: rah_metas // plugin for automatic metainformation

Oops,

now I quite get it what you mean by that, rolograaf. You want that all tags of all articles created with tru_tags will show up to all pages, am I right?

Well, god shake, that is not vice, because it’s too many of keywords, and then it would show up keywords that would not belong to that specific page, bad for SEO. So don’t do it.

But so I said before, tru_tags are already included in article’s keywords because they both use same TXP-in-build function to show them, so it’s not nessassery to edit/mod or change anything :-) “You’r good to go soldier”.

Cheers!

Mmmm, no not really, Jukka
(Mika and Kimi are they Japanese? SORRY)

I would like some general keywords (like Photoblog, Photography etc.) to be in every article with your plugin, but added to those the TAGS different for every article from tru_tags (like Berlin, 2007, architecture , urban, hdr). That would not be bad SEO?

Seems I have a another problem with my Widescreen template and the way it is using the archive as homepage. So the previous articles are different from the first. They now have “Keywords” (capitalized) only from tru_tags and two times the Meta “description”. I am a little confused.

Thanks for answering and making a plugin!
Lourens
or Lawrence or Laurent or Lorenzo or Lars (anyway you like it ;-)

No, but “Juka” with single “k” is japanese, and in japanese it’s name of girl (and I’m not), well mostly it’s written “Yuca, Yucca or Ycca” but what’ever :-) Mika and Kimi, F1-drivers are Finnish, definetly. It was just a joke, after’all ;)

Re: rah_metas // plugin for automatic metainformation

Hello,

This is a great plugin, but is there a way to strip html tags from it ? It doesn’t validate.

Thanks!

Re: rah_metas // plugin for automatic metainformation

It should strip all (X)HTML-tags and Textile. Well sometimes it bugs, if article start with (X)HTML-tag. Well, I will look into it, and I shall publish new version of plugin that includes extra code-stripping. Wait a sec.

Cheers!
