[wiki] Wordpress import documentation
Okay, so I’m looking at porting (someone else’s) Wordpress site over to Textpattern, but it doesn’t look like the documentation is at TextBook yet .. Am I just missing it?
If someone knows where the documentation is, and could point me to it, I’d be very happy to add it to Textbook….
thanks!

p.s. I’ve missed this place

Re: [wiki] Wordpress import documentation
Click on administrtion->import, enter the database-information for the wordpress installation and click button. That will import the content.

Thanks Sencer :)
I’ve been away too long… ‘forgot there was such a tab.
I’ll put that into Textbook when I get a chance this evening, if someone doesn’t do it meanwhile.
Are there any other plugins/options for getting Wordpress entires to Textpattern but keeping/specifying corresponding sections?
The built-in import looks great, and that should certainly suffice.. but if we can maintain order/sections through the import process, that would definitely be helpful.

Re: [wiki] Wordpress import documentation
I am not aware of any plugins in that area. We welcome any patches to the importers, or if some people that regularly work with other software want to “adopt” an importer to keep it updated (w.r.t. changes in the other cms), that would also be very welcome.
