Diagnostics tab
While testing the latest SVN code, I usually find that diagnostics doesn’t coincide with the SVN revision number.
My diagnostics now report: Textpattern version: 4.0.3 (r1424)
This is the last 3 SVN log messages:

Yes, I understand how SVN treats the whole repository.
What diagnostics doesn’t take into account are any changes to files that don’t have a php extension.

My guess is that it considers non-php files irrelevant, the reason being that while CSS could potentially break your site, it’s not as likely to do so. i.e: from looking at the code I can tell you its not the result of a bug, but whichever developer’s choice. The list of files that gets checked comes from, pre-r64, so I’m not sure who, might’ve been Dean.

I went through and verified what is in the stable branch against what diagnostics prints.
These php files were omitted from the checks:
- \
- index.php
- \textpattern\include\
- txp_file.php
- txp_import.php
- \textpattern\lib\
- class.thumb.php
- constants.php
- txplib_update.php
- txplib_wrapper.php
These non-php files were omitted:
- \textpattern\
- textpattern.css
- textpattern.js
These were left out but I figured they won’t be around on a live site:
- \textpattern\include\import\
- \textpattern\setup\
- \textpattern\update\
Also some misc stuff that doesn’t need checking:
- any images
- any text files
- any html files
