Re: Create a single page FAQ

You could also use your faq_ans form in combination with this toggle/hide script to make just one list of question, where you click on the question to make the answer appear or disappear.

When your FAQ-List gets long it can be a useful way of still keeping things clear. It’s JS but it’s unobtrusive. The only addition to your script, in addition to linking the js file in the head is to give your dl-tag an id as hook for the script.

Re: Create a single page FAQ

Yeah, but you’d have to upload a script, which is such a pain :P. That is a nice script though.

Great tutorial/instructions.

I just used it for one of my projects and it worked perfect.

Thanks again.

Re: Create a single page FAQ

Thanks Jon Michael, I finally changed some (rather complicated) FAQ pages to your example. What a relief! I also changed the search results form to have the links go to the right anchor:

<p><a href="<txp:site_url />faq/#faq_<txp:article_id />"><strong><txp:title /></strong></a>
<txp:search_result_excerpt /></p>

Re: Create a single page FAQ

I’m lost. I created the page and the forms…

how do I use with a FAQ? I know it’s just plain obvious but I’m not getting it at all.

Re: Create a single page FAQ

Did you create a section, or is a pre-existing section using the faq page? The template uses an article’s title as the question and the body as the answer, so it could be used with any section.
