[wiki] TextBook Presentation
Starting a new thread for this subject, to have a slightly less specific title than TxB fixes for IE CSS.
Idea here is to simply point out presentation issues as they crop up. One of us admins will get to it, but consider David_1cog the main go-to.
First issues at the moment:
The headers (h1, h2, h3, etc.) seem to be off a bit. There’s a poor gradation of size as you go down the line. Also, there’s some top/bottom margin problems for them as well. Be nice to get some even spacing going on. Fixed, but people need to use proper headings for it to look right. Page titles start with h1 headings, so your actual page sections under that should start with h2 (not another h1).- There’s some odd position of the “edit” links for individual page sections. Take the international or main page, for example, the edit links seem to be associated to the sections above them, not below as they once were.
Preview boxes have no top/bottom margin so are getting squished. Fixed.

Wiki Pre selector styling for Terminal commands/output
I stumbled across another wiki that had done something I thought was rather effective. They had created different stylings for the preformatted (pre) selector for use with different content depending on what the context was. One of the stylings was kind of a mimic of text entry/output in a batch shell, terminal, SSH, etc. The idea behind it is to help give an immediate sense of familiarity with what a user would really be looking at as they followed the instructions (an actual terminal).
We have a number of pages where the pre selector is being used exactly for this kind of thing. I can’t seem to replicate the syntax here in the forum due to textile, but you can see an example of it all here, just look at the code for what you need to use yourself. It’s basically a pre selector put inside a div having a class of <code>class=“commandline”</code>.
The original pre styling we had is still there as well, so if you don’t use anything but the pre selector you’ll still get styled output. If it’s supposed to represent content as seen in a terminal, though, I would go with the styling above.
