Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

I by accident found out what the problem is caused by: if you access the textpattern backend using eg “www.yoursite.com” and your site path is set to “yoursite.com” it DOES NOT WORK. You HAVE TO access it with the same URL, ie “yoursite.com” when site path is set to “yoursite.com”. I guess it is because textpattern refuses to use the login-cookie from the “yoursite.com” when site path is set to “www.yoursite.com” and vice versa. I stumbled upon it when it tried to login to textpattern on www.yoursite.com/textpattern . Before, I had been logged in to yoursite.com/textpattern. I changed the URL to yoursite.com manually – and I was logged out. I think it is a cookie issue or something.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

Just got around to upgrading an old site to TXP 4.2 and the latest version of this plugin.

Everything seems to be okay, except the language file doesn’t seem to be rendering in the tinymce pop up tool windows.

What language are you using? TinyMCE only comes with english now, you have to download the other lang packs separately

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

Hey Patrick,

I have a weird problem the cause of which I can’t find…
For some reason, the image browser doesn’t get filled on my production server (loading.gif keeps spinning), while everything works fine on my local testing server. The hak_tinymce configuration is exactly the same on my production server.

Now I know this may not give you a clue, but since I can’t find the smallest clue myself: do you have an idea what might be going wrong?
What would you suggest for debugging / dumping vars (in order to see if something goes wrong in the PHP/JS mix?

Thanks in advance,

Jan

jan: Check firebug to see if the ajax call is erroring for some reason.

Also try going to textpattern/index.php?event=hak_txpimage and see if it’s giving you and error for some reason.

I’m using English. Just updated the lang file as well, same problem.

I’m noticing it is only messed up for the insert link pop up. Everything else appears to work at first glance.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

That’s weird. In Firebug check if /tiny_mce/themes/advanced/langs/en_dlg.js is loading when you open the dialog. Otherwise you could try using the advlink plugin.

I noticed the bundled TinyMCE is a few versions behind. You could try a fresh one from moxiecode and see if it works. you just need to copy the txpimage plugin folder over. I’m going to try to update the bundle in the next day or so.

But it all works fine for me with the bundled one which is weird.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

Hi I have installed hak_tinymce on a clients site and although I follow all the steps I dont see the editor.
Am I missing something?

The site is running on Textpattern · 4.0.5
I installed the latest hak_tinymce (admin > Plugins says version 0.9.9)

Settings are:

theme : “advanced”,
language : “en”,
relative_urls : false,
remove_script_host : false,
plugins : “searchreplace,txpimage”,
theme_advanced_buttons1 : “bold,italic,underline,strikethrough,forecolor,backcolor,removeformat,numlist,bullist,outdent,indent,justifyleft,justifycenter,justifyright,justifyfull”,
theme_advanced_buttons2 : “link,unlink,separator,image,separator,search,replace,separator,cut,copy,paste,separator,code,separator,formatselect”,
theme_advanced_buttons3 : “”,
theme_advanced_toolbar_location : “top”,
theme_advanced_toolbar_align : “left”,entity_encoding : “numeric”,
height:“420”,

thanks in advance

Hi, from the first post:

This plugin requires version 4.2.0 or higher.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

Hi Thanks for your quick reply

Is there anywhere I can download an older compatible version?
I dont really want to go through the hassle of updating the clients textpattern version if I can help it.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

This is the last pre-4.2.0 version It has 2 versions of tinyMCE included but the image plugin only works with TinyMCE 2.

You could probably use the TinymMCE folder from the latest version with this older version but I haven’t tried it.
