[resolved] /private/var/tmp

That’s a yellow warning in my Diagnostics after transferring a local install to a web host…

Temporary directory path is not writable: /private/var/tmp

The warning does not exist in the local install, and I find no “/private” directory up top of the tree in my host server. Should I just ignore it?

I see the path in Admin prefs… Do I change the path to something of my own creation, then set permissions on that? (Odd, I can’t remember ever doing this before.)

Re: [resolved] /private/var/tmp

I normally have the tmp directory one level above the public side. So if my site is on /home/user/site/, I place it in user and change the tmp path in the preferences. I also do the same with the Plugin cache directory path.
