Import from Joomal to Textpattern

Is there a plugin or method to move a site from Joomla to Textpattern.
I may offer to help a friend move to Textpattern if the process is relatively painless.

i wonder why ~~my search of this string “Import from Joomal”~~ resulted in null… never mind I had spelled it wrong ;-)

Hi

if you can export joomla articles as csv you can then import them into textpattern using a plugin, but you should change some csv information using Calc.

jmd_cvs is probably the best option.

Theoretically you could also use one of Joomla’s xml export plugins and then import it to Texpattern using a plugin like asv_tumblelog. I say theoretical because I’ve no clue if asv_tumblelog still works. However it did have the ability to import xml to articles IIRC.

Just thought I’d toss it in for the sake of possible options.
