It looks like you changed the archives page in Presentation>Sections.

Have you altered the .htaccess in the meantime?
In bad weather I never leave home without wet_plugout, smd_where_used and adi_form_links

Good catch uli. In fact http://bass-class.com is redirected to http://bass-class.com/blog/ which indicates the existence of an htaccess rule.
checking on it again the site works just fine in messy mode
example url: http://bass-class.com/blog/index.php?id=21

I checked diagnostic and changed permalink mode to messy and it woks fine now.

Yiannis surely didn’t mean to switch the site to messy mode as a final solution. It was rather a test whether it’s been an issue caused by coding or by the .htaccess rules (the latter it seemed to be).
Have you checked whether any proposals in this FAQ might help? If there’s no solution for you, you should ask your hosting company whether your contract includes htaccess, and use messy mode only as a last resort.
