[request] Mail Chimp plugin
Anyone have desire to make a Mail Chimp plugin and get your nifty worked listed among the other CMS competitors that already have one for this very popular and visible tool? Textpattern’s logo is definitely missing in there. :)
Here’s the Mail Chimp API.
Mail Chimp has a free account that will take up to 500 emails. I can work with this outside of an actual plugin, but a nice Mail Chimp plugin that accommodates paid accounts too in the event upgrades are needed would be nice, and handy for clients already having those accounts.

Are you interested at all in a mem_postmaster/mail-chimp bridge/hybrid? I may be interested in co-sponsoring work on that.

Sorry for the delay, Dale. Getting post notifications from the forum via email seems to be hit or miss anymore for me.

Possibly. I’ve never used mem_postermaster before so I’d want to check that out first, and it would be reasonable to see a design concept of how a hybrid might work. It needs to be relatively user-friendly.
Since my original post, however, the need for this has tapered off, so it’s probably going to float for a while before I can give it much attention. A lot going on at the moment.
