Error uploading Images 'IMPATH'?!? Please help me!

I was wondering if you could help with something on our site hopemanagement.co.uk
On the ‘artists’ page – http://hopemanagement.co.uk/index.php?s=artist-management – I tried to replace the pic we had for ‘The Heavy’ – something I’ve done before without a problem, but this time it’s messed it all up! When I try and upload a new pic it says this:

Notice: Constant IMPATH already defined in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\hopemanagement.co.uk\httpdocs\admin\textpattern\include\txp_image.php on line 21
C:/inetpub/vhosts/hopemanagement.co.uk/httpdocs/inc/img/content/403.jpg directory permissions need to be checked.

Please help as I have no idea what’s going on! A friend said it looked like some permissions had been changed but I have not done anything?

Thanks, Lizzy

Re: Error uploading Images 'IMPATH'?!? Please help me!

Yesterday I couldn’t open the page artist management. It was not online. Now it works again and I can see the problem, even with the bad spaces between photos.

I do ‘t understand what the error is, but it seems to me that the specified path points to a local installation (“C:\Inetpub\vhosts\hopemanagement.co.uk\httpdocs\admin\textpattern\include\txp_image.php on line 21”). Could it be that you have a problem with duplicate installations, and that you don’t distinguish which is which?

Hrrrm, seems like you haven’t got sufficient privileges. Ask your admin to do so.

Re: Error uploading Images 'IMPATH'?!? Please help me!

Image directory is not writable can mean two things:

  • The images folder/path to images folder is not identical with the path in Admin > Preferences > Advanced > Image directory.
  • The images folder doesn’t have the necessary permissions set.

For both you need an FTP application and FTP username & password. For instructions see this FAQ topic.

Please note that you’re using a TXP version with security issues. You should update to the current version as soon as possible. Please bear in mind that in that case it might need someone to look after the plugins, too, there might be some that stop working afterwards or require alterations like bot_write_tab_customize.

Edit: From memory:
bot_write_tab_customize-0.5.2 needs an update + new assignment of rules,
lam_browse_by-0.1 has to be replaced by smd_browse_by,
glz_custom_fields-1.2.3 needs an update

But the installation seems heavily altered, there might be even more that breaks. You should consult your webdesign agency, anyway.

Hi

You are using an IIS server and i lnow it s a mess about file permission!
Ask your host to see how it can give php permission on writing on that directory, using FTP will not help in your case!

I’m not comfortable doing the below as it is way above my head! Can you recommend people that we can pay to fix the issues for us?
