Can't upload files
I’m getting this message when I try to upload a file;
Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 10037 is not allowed to access /tmp/txp_RT7QQY owned by uid 48 in /var/www/vhosts/lehmannstrobel.com/httpdocs/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php on line 1486
/var/www/vhosts/lehmannstrobel.com/httpdocs/files/online catalogues.docx directory permissions need to be checked.
Now, I have the checked the file permissions for the folder, httpdocs/files and it is set to 777 so I am not sure what else I am to do to enable file uploading?

Can you paste diagnostics here? What is your tmp folder set to?

Ah…that did the trick. I set the tmp to 777. Now of course, the problem with this is that it allows for outsiders to gain access to this. And setting it to something lower doesn’t allow me to upload files. How would I go about ensuring that I can upload files while still making the folders secure?

If 755 doesn’t work you may need to talk to your host.
