[textile] Backwards apostrophe after abbreviation

Is this expected behaviour or a bug? And is there a workaround?

Textile:

NATO(North Atlantic Treaty Organization)'s manifesto isn't up to much.

Result (ish — with semicolon’s removed so Textile doesn’t replace the numbers with the entity):

<acronym title="North Atlantic Treaty Organization"><span class="caps">NATO</span></acronym>&#8216s manifesto isn&#8217t up to much.

Methinks it should be an 8217. Anyone else? Tested in both vanilla 2.2 and 2.3.2. If it’s a bug I’ll raise a ticket but I wondered if I was being dim and not seeing the obvious workaround or error of my ways. Thanks.

It should be an #8217. Getting the same result as you where it’s outputting an #8216 instead – Textile 2.3.2

Stef,

By all means raise an issue on the tracker, probably the best place for it, but do let me know which version you are using when you make the report. I have a few fixes/features on the boil at the moment so I may get the chance to look at this.

Update: There is a tentative fix for this over on github now should anyone wish to try it.

Thanks Steve, been hammering away at it this morning and so far it’s looking great. Much obliged, Sir.
