active class to linklist

Hi Textpattern.

It would be great, if you could add the function “active_class” to <txp:linklist />.

Re: active class to linklist

What’s the use case?
It’s a linklist-tag which is used to produce a list of links from the predefined list created on the Links tab.

Re: active class to linklist

I know what the linklist tag is ;o).
Sometimes the section_list tag and / or the category_list tag, doesn`t give the user enough control over the menu. This is where the linklist tag becomes handy, since the user, can type in the specific links, in a predefined list under the Links tab. All it really needs, is a way, to highlight the current link in the menu.

Re: active class to linklist

The linklist tag isn’t meant to be used for site internal links. Although it doesn’t stop you from doing so, it should feel rather hampered for site internal nav.
You’re way quicker defining certain articles to be listed in an article list by giving them a category (or defining a special custom field), and then let TXP do the work for you. Inside the article form you can mark the active article by means of <txp:if_article_id> class="active"</txp:if_article_id> or similar. (Note that you don’t need the ID for this use case.)
