Re: Export comments, then import into Disqus

Yes – it should have been indeed. And I just fixed the original.

Not surprised I made the mistake – do that sort of thing all the time – but I am surprised I didn’t notice it before because that sort of thing usually seriously breaks the output.

@michaelkpate: Thank you so much for sharing your solution. I have been looking around to integrate Disqus with TXP and your solution comes close to what I think I want !

Thanks, Michael. Last week was a busy one for me, so looking forward to applying your solution tonight.

Let me know how it goes. If it works okay, I will write it up into a formal how-to.

Re: Export comments, then import into Disqus

It went perfectly for me. Importing comments took all night however – fortunately I slept.

I also just posted a how-to (crediting you) at http://maniaravings.com/2011/03/01/how-to-incorporate-disqus-into-textpattern

It only took me a few minutes but that particular blog didn’t have a great deal.

Anyone know whether this page is available elsewhere? I get a 404.

Re: Export comments, then import into Disqus

Thank you very much. I’m still undecided as to whether it is a good idea to hand off all comment functions to Disqus, but at least now if I decide to go that route, I’ll have those instructions.
