Re: TxP.com home page

Could you post it somewhere for future reference? On the wiki maybe?

Re: TxP.com home page

Well, I’d rather have it under the control of the Txp devs, rather than just anyone, since the image is still technically copyrighted to Dean and not open source (whereas “carver.gif” is copyrighted to him but also open source because it’s distributed in Txp).

Re: TxP.com home page

can “carver.gif” be a copyrighted image?

The image I found on the net is small and low quality but these guys from Cyprus use their logo since 1886.

Re: TxP.com home page

Next step: Team building.

I’ve drafted a preliminary collection of requirements, feel free to register an account (preferably using your forum nick if it fits into the required naming restrictions) and improve.

There’s a section on that page to enlist if you are able to contribute to a relaunch of Textpattern.com with one of your professional capabilities. As I’ve stated before, this is a pro-bono job, like all of Textpattern. Site credits will of course mention anyone who adds a relevant contribution.

Re: TxP.com home page

Hi wet,

I’ve already registered. I was about to add myself to the “Implementation” Task Force, but not sure if that’s the place.

I would like to collaborate doing HTML/CSS tasks. I feel pretty confident in that field.
I would like to work (with all of you, of course) on creating solid & modular HTML skeleton with clean, semantic, valid code and best accessibility practices, so then we can also apply a solid CSS, free or almost-free of hacks (those for IE6/7 on their own stylesheet). Again, I feel pretty confident on getting things working/looking fine across browers (well, IE6+, FF, Opera, Safari, at least, to start) but, of course, I’m not a genius either.

Being that probably other people would also like to collaborate on the same area and being that writing CSS/HTML is a not-always-logical-and-full-of-quirks task, it would be nice to define some criterias on the approach of writing this kind of code.

Ok, here I am! Awaiting orders…

Sure, leave your name there. By now, we are just collecting names and interests. Later on, we will agree on who/what/when.

Done.
I also forgot to say that I can also help writing TxP code (tags).

Re: TxP.com home page

I’m in, thanks for setting this up wet.

Added a couple of bits about SEO placement to try and at least put us on the radar. Help out if you can in the discussion on the right sort of search terms

Re: TxP.com home page

Well done for grabbing this by the scruff of the neck and pushing it forward, wet. You’ve been very busy! I’ve enlisted (don’t know what I’ll do yet but hopefully I can help somewhere). Couple of things:

What do you mean by ‘Elevator pitch’?
What do you mean by ‘Transfer trust like an A-grade newspaper’?

Re: TxP.com home page

Thanks, Stef, new one on me. Your seo point is a very important one, methinks, and needs agreement before copy is written.
